Andy Robinson is a genius, a rare talent, an amazing poet whose clever lyrics tug at your heart strings as well as your intellect. He’s also my brother-- what did you think I was going to say about him?

Seriously, this album is an absolute gem: perfect songwriting, intimate performances by Andy on vocals and mountain dulcimer, and by his sensitive band: Scott Colby on acoustic and electric slide dobro and Babs Parent on lead and backing vocals. Thom Britt played bass on 2 tunes, and I added percussion, electric upright bass, piano and drums (though Andy actually pounded the skins on “Miserable”).

This is another album recorded almost entirely on the Roland VS880. If everything I recorded for the rest of my life sounded as natural as this does to me, I would be a happy guy.
