It's been a while. Thanks for the CDs I really enjoyed them. I am retired now, mainly looking after my 14 year old daughter, composting and gardening and singing with a Gregorian chant group in pasadena.
I recently started a facebook page and found that Eileen Press would be a friend. I am also friends with Maggie LaPique, the Music Director at KPFK. Have you ever considered being a guest on her Monday Global Village program (10 am to noon)? They have studio for live broadcast.

My name is Meagan Harvey-Trocha formly Meagan Holmes. I am the daughter of Bob Holmes-Synanon. DD Harvey adopted me after my dad's death. Anyway, I am in close touch with Sandy Barty as well. I have taken a real interest in Jazz. I am planning on opening a live jazz club here in Krakow, Poland. It is where I now reside with my husband. Would love to speak with you. Dear Doug,
Frank Rehak sent me a letter "out of the Blue" back in 1979. I had entered a DownBeat Magazine festival contest (Best Album cover design) and had won. I lived on Long Island at the time and Frank had grown up in Bohemia, L.I. he must have read that issue of Downbeat, cause the next thing I knew he mailed me a letter congratulating me! I wound up attending Berklee college of Music and graduating with a BA in Music ED. I still love Jazz (play Trumpet) and wished I had been able to meet Frank in person before he had passed away. Hi, Doug, great site! I'm a complete stranger to you guys, but am coming to SMDA in December for about a month. I'm a jazz bassist and hoping to hook up with good players while there.
