Most people think of me as a jazz musician, but I’ve been writing my Paul Simonesque/Randy Newmanish songs for decades. Midlife Chrysalis is the first time I’ve ever spent the energy to get them recorded right. In addition to writing and singing these personal (and often gently humorous) songs, I’m playing all of the instruments. Track 6 is a vocal duet with my wife and muse, Glenda. I hope you’ll dig the sounds.
