Hi Doug I stumbled across your site by fortunate accident. I'm a singer and interested in meeting a jazz pianist in this town with a view of getting together at some point. Should that be of interest, please drop me a line. Cheers Charles

Hi Ira! Thanks for coming last night--the instruments were a Hammond 44p Melodica, a wind-driven keyboard, and the Suzuki Andes 25--the kind of flutey version of a melodica. Doug

Hi, Joleen! Thanks for writing and for the kind words. Yes, I've got some great gigs coming up but unfortunately my big two-day event (Doug Robinson Plays Well With Others 4) ha-pens Nov 17 and 18! You can't change your ticket, can you? I'll be featuring Iraida Noriega and La Groovy Band, XUC Trio, Ken Bichel, Jim Bailey, Marty Gilman, Saoco and my own trio with Victor Monterrubio and Ruben Olvera...

Will you be performing in San Miguel de Allende any time between Nov. 1-15, 2017? We hope so! We heard you play there two years ago when you played your piano compositions. Our best day in SMA! Thank you!

Hi Doug, love your story with real life ups and downs.. Sounds like you are very happy now! I have friends who have a wonderful home in San Migel and they would like to find a piano for their home; probably a grand or baby grand. Do you where to find one to buy? Their son plays and is an amazing composer and is there now. Thank you, Susan Woodruff Email susan@swluxshop.com Phone 214-533-2622

Hello Doug, I just finished listening to Spotlight 95: Forest Movement 6.5 and I felt overly compelled to tell you that that piece of art really and truly resonates very deeply to my core. The choice of instruments, the arrangement and the quality of both the recording and the playing were top notch and I really enjoyed it immensely. Job well done! Job very well done!

Hi Doug, Like you, I'm a jazz keyboard player and composer who spent most of my life in San Francisco. I've been digitizing all of my CDs to a hard drive, and I came across "Talking to Dogs." I have no idea how it ended up in my library, but I'm glad I found it. Great stuff! So, wanting to learn a bit more about you and your music, I found your website and read your story. Never played much in SoCal, but a lot of the people you mentioned are familiar to me. Just wanted to say say hi, and tell you how much I enjoy your music. Paul

Hey Doug! I would ask how you're doing but you did such a masterful job on your bio, I feel I already know! LOL! I don't know if you remember me but I produced a couple of the compilations on which you participated back in 2000 and 2001 through the Big List. I was going through some things recently and came across the first one I did, Songs of the Big List 2000, and had the pleasure of rekindling old memories of those days by listening to the 4 CDs-worth of material that was submitted, including your brother, Andy's tune, "Hy and Kay", "Be With You" by Michelle Abby, and your tune with Bruce Gilbert called "Pretend That You Love Me". It was quite timely that I find this now, practically to the day 15 years later yet it's hard to believe so much time has flown by when listening to the tunes brings me right back there! Very sorry to hear about Glenda... my condolences. I lost my mom in 1991 to cancer so I know the helplessness it can make you feel. I was trying to contact all the participants to see if they would have any objections to me putting their tunes from this compilation up on the web. I'm not looking to commercialize or monetize it but more as a memorial of sorts. Some really good music on there! Anyway, please let me know if you get this and what you feel in regard to your tunes and posting. You can reach me at rono_live@yahoo.com or my Facebook page under Ron Oslund.
